Steve Young was born in Ecuador and grew up in Argentina as part of a missionary family. Prior to moving to Perth in 2022 he lived and taught in the United States (Seattle, WA; Pasadena, CA; Houston, TX). He loves the New Testament, and especially the Gospel of Luke, ("I have fallen in love with the God of the Gospel of Luke!"). His current areas of research are social identity in relation to the New Testament, and a missional reading of Scripture. Steve is married to Susan, and they have a daughter, Freya, who also lives with them in Perth. He enjoys living creatures, especially dogs, and is quite taken by the Australian birds.
