FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme, which assists eligible students to pay their college tuition fees. Students can decide whether to use FEE-HELP to cover all or part of their tuition fees. If a student chooses to access FEE-HELP, the Australian Government pays all or part of the student’s tuition fee to the College on behalf of the student. A student begins to repay their FEE-HELP debt to the Australian Government once their income reaches a prescribed threshold.

LOAN FEE

From January 1, 2011 the loan fee of 25 per cent applies to FEE-HELP loans for undergraduate courses of study. No loan fee applies to a FEE-HELP loan for:

• fee paying postgraduate courses of study, including higher degree by research;
• courses to enable student to meet the requirements of entry into a course leading to a higher education award.
