Master of Theology – MTh

An advanced graduate program in The Master of Theology is an advanced graduate program in theology and related disciplines for candidates with a prior three year theological degree and who seek to pursue theological studies at greater depth and at greater rigour in their area of interest, or pursue research in the future.

Students who have completed this qualification will be able to:

  • deepen their understanding of theological problems/issues which have emerged in their ministerial/professional experience.
  • develop theological underpinnings for ministry strategies and renewal.
  • acquire deeper knowledge of some of the key debates in their subject area.
  • refine their capacity to think through issues/problems from a variety of per-spectives.
  • access the major bibliographical references in their subject area
  • appreciate the social/historical/ literary context/background of their subject area

Course Overview
Structure: 12 Units. The program may be completed with or without a specialisation. A specialisation in the MTh comprises 6 units in one of the following fields: Biblical Studies, The-ology, Christian Ministry. At least two of the units must be at advanced level.
